The Best Natural Beauty Products

The last few decades have seen a revolution in the cosmetic and beauty products industry. The focus on natural and organic products has caused most cosmetics giants to launch their own lines of natural skin and beauty care products. It is well-known now that chemical based cosmetics are harmful for your skin, especially in the long run. Thus more and more, people are turning to products containing natural ingredients. The skin is the body’s largest organ, and we should care for it the same way as we do for the other organs. We are careful to maintain a healthy diet; we should give our skin the same importance and monitor what we apply on it.There are many contents found in a lot of traditional skin care products that are cocktails of chemicals and have been known to cause allergies. Some believe that plant-based products are better able to imitate the skin’s structure and support its health. Here are a few ingredients which one should watch out for:
• Sodium laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate are used as foaming agents, they cause drying and sometimes eczema.
• The different forms of parabens as preservatives may cause rashes and other allergic reactions and are commonly found in skin care products.
• Diethanolamine (DEA) is used mainly for its foaming and emulsifying properties and has been associated with allergic reactions and eye irritation.
• Though mineral oil is a natural ingredient, it is a by-product of crude oil, which as we know is extracted from the earth. The question you have to ask yourself is – do I want to put something that is a by-product of the petrochemical industry on my skin? While choosing which cosmetics to use, one should remember that natural ingredients too can cause allergies especially on very sensitive skin. However the chances of such ingredients causing allergies is much lower than their chemical counterparts. What you should look for in a cosmetic? You will see a lot of products on the shelves with the words “organic” or “natural” or even “green”. Remember that many of these are just marketing schemes and in a lot of cases the use of these terms is not regulated, so read the labels very carefully, preferably glance through the contents of the product. It is equally important to maintain your skin from the inside and not just from the outside. Eating a balanced diet with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water and using the right kind and quantity of oils and spices in your cooking, avoiding processed food and oily and spicy food, really is the best way to maintain a healthy, glowing and soft skin.

Starting a Business – 5 Personal Inventory Audits to Help You Launch Your Business Startup

Starting a business appears to be as American as apple pie. Every year, tens of thousands of people in the United States decide to launch their own business start up. If you are thinking of doing the same thing, you probably need some help in deciding exactly what type of business you should start.

In over 9 years of being a business adviser and coach, I have helped numerous entrepreneurs make decisions like this with a special set of tools known as personal inventory audits. These personal inventory audits are simple sessions where you think specifically about a particular life area and create a list of assets. Here are 5 simple audits you can perform on yourself to help you decide on the business startup of your dreams.

1. Audit your Skills and Competencies

Starting a business related to skills you have means that you can be your own employee. These may be broader professional skills, or technical skills or even leadership skills. When you establish a company that delivers a skill set that you understand, you can manage your employees based on your first hand knowledge of what they do.

2. Audit your Experiences

The experiences you have been through in your personal or business life can form the foundation of a new company. Whether these are nominally negative or positive experiences does not matter. In seminars and workshops, I instruct people to “turn tears into gold” by repackaging their experiences (and lessons learned) for the marketplace of people who may be going through similar situations.

3. Audit Proximities

By proximities, I mean that you should audit and create a list of people, places, products, or philosophies that are near and dear to you. Ask yourself questions like:

  • What can I partner with these people to offer?
  • What do these people do well that I can sell?
  • What are the places I’m familiar with well known for?
  • What do I know about this product that many others need to know but do not?
  • How many others could use these philosophies I have been adhering to?

These types of questions serve to jog your thinking into action and to help you discover hidden opportunities for doing business.

4. Audit your Hobbies

If you have outdoor hobbies like extreme sports or hiking and mountain climbing, you can leverage your knowledge of these areas to start a related business. Not only could you start an equipment or accessory supply business, you could start an internet-based business where you sell valuable information to fellow hobbyists. The internet is also a great business platform if your hobby is an indoor activity like embroidery or scrapbooking.

5. Audit your Professional Knowledge

Do you have professional credentials? If so you could start a business in your area of expertise. An accounting professional I know recently started a bookkeeping business to help business owners in a very specific niche. This is a great way to leverage the work you have already done and the experience you have already built in your professional life.

Conclusion

Starting a business can be one of the most exciting but challenging experiences of your life. You can increase the chances of your business reaching the point of ultimate success that you define by building a business according to your core strengths. Learning to conduct regular personal audits gives you a great measure of control in your decision-making.

These personal inventory audits are not so much exercises in starting a business as they are tools for building self-knowledge.

Self-knowledge is something you will need to make sure that starting a business does not become something you deeply regret down the road. Whether you are in charge of a business startup or you are leading a corporate unit within an established company, gaining this kind of self-knowledge makes you a more effective leader – a more effective leader for your business organization, and a more fulfilled person in life.

Unique Trick to Stop a Headache Fast

Headaches are caused by many things. One of the most common causes is stress, not just the mental kind of stress, but stress to your body as well. Stress can cause tension in your face, neck, and shoulder muscles. This will often lead to headache. This is commonly known as a tension headache. If you slept wrong, pulled a muscle in your upper body, or you’re dealing with a lot of stress in your life, you’ve probably experienced this before. The unique method below will help get rid of that headache fast!

1. Begin by using your dominant hand’s forefinger and thumb. Locate the area between your forefinger and thumb on your non-dominant hand. This is a very fleshy area. In the junction you will find a firm knot-like tendon. This is a pressure point.

2. Once you’ve located this pressure point, use your dominant hand to firmly massage the area, You don’t want it to be painful, but do maintain firm pressure to the area. This works best if someone else can massage the area for you, but it’s not necessary.

3. Close your eyes and continue to massage the pressure point. You may notice some relief after a few minutes, but continue to rub the area. The headache can come back quickly if you stop too quickly.

4. Continue the massage for approximately fifteen to twenty minutes. This method will stop your headache fast, but if you don’t continue to rub the area, it can come back, Once you’ve finished, the headache should be gone for good. It will at least gone for a long time.

Now that your headache is gone, it;s time to fix the source of stress. The tension will continue to come unless you take measures to relax those muscles. You might try taking a nap, as lack of sleep can sometimes be the cause. A hot shower to relax your neck muscles can help as well. You might prefer trying a heating pad to your shoulders.

Your eyes might be sensitive from the headache. Turning all the lights down or off can sometimes help as well. If you suspect your headache is sinus related, you may have to resort to medication. A decongestant helps to relieve pressure in the sinus cavities. An antihistamine can help with allergy related symptoms.

Identifying the cause of your headache and taking measures to correct the issue will keep the headache from returning. If you haven’t found a source of the headache, but continue to experience it, a trip to the doctor is likely needed. Headaches can be caused by a multitude of things. They are generally not serious. However, on occasion there can be a serious underlying cause for the headache. If you have frequent or very severe headaches or migraines, seek medical attention.
